Castles in progress

Just wanted to drop in a give a preview of what I've been working on since my sewing machine has returned!

Les Amis Sandcastle Quilt block

Here is a block out of my castle quilt that is in progress. I am using Les Amis fabric, and the pattern is titled Sandcastles and can be found in Australian Patchwork & Quilting magazine Vol 20 No 12. I also have seen this particular pattern for sale by itself at FatQuarterShop.com. I'm having so much fun with this project! I love all the little animals! Can't wait to see what it looks like when all the different colors come together and it's all laid out.

I also pieced the backing for a Halloween quilt that I am going to be quilting myself. It will be the first quilt that I've quilted myself with something other than stitch in-the-ditch and also the biggest quilt I've ever quilted myself. Hopefully I'll be making good progress on all of this over the weekend!
